A Benton man is doing well in the Huntsville Championship (Alabama) on the PGA Tour. Zack Fischer, age 32, of Benton, Arkansas, is tied for 1st on the first day of the 4-day event. He and Harrison Endycott both were 7-under on Thursday.
Fischer managed to begin his game with three birdies in a row and ended the day with another three consecutive birdies. His middle game was no less impressive, with another two birdies and a bogey included. He ended the day at 63. This is his 5th season at Korn Ferry Tour. Fischer is a graduate of University of Texas-Arlington.
