Get your storm debris picked up – with some stipulations. Storms rolled through Saline County overnight and downed trees and limbs, leaving a mess of yard debris. Saline County, Benton and Bryant will assist with debris removal if you do the following:
- Saline County Emergency Management advises that yard debris will need to be removed by the homeowner or landlord, and you should contact your insurance provider as quickly as possible regarding any damage.
- In Benton & areas of Saline County – Pickup service will be provided on Thursday, May 6th, and Monday, May 10th through Thursday May 13th. Call the Saline County Road Department at 501-303-5690 or Benton Street Department at 501-776-5990. Remove trees and limbs only to the side of the road, (no building materials or manmade objects) then according to where you live, contact the County or Benton or Bryant to provide your address for pickup.
- Emergency Management recommends against burning debris if possible.
- In Bryant, submit a request for Bryant Street Department to pick up your yard debris by going to www.cityofbryant.com, then click on the “Report A Concern” link, and the City will pick it up on the following Tuesday at no cost to you. Approved items for yard waste pickup are shrubs, rootballs with no dirt, branches and trees cut less than 6 feet long, along with leaves and grass trimmings bagged in paper bags. They will NOT pick up treated lumber, treated wood, rocks or synthetic mulch. You must create a ticket for them to know you have a pickup ready.
