We already talked about a Kum & Go convenience store going in next to Denton’s after the Lincoln Square shopping center gets demolished. I tried to contact the owner of the property, Charles Davidson of Arkansas Best Realty, to confirm this story, but he has not replied after 2 days. That happens in real estate deals though. It’s all hush-hush until folks are ready to make an official announcement. So how do all these people know about it? Ya got me.
You may remember the catfish place (and then the seafood place) in Bryant on the corner opposite of where Ashley’s Furniture is sitchee-ated. If you’ve driven by there in the last couple of months, you’ve seen a leveled parking lot there. I guess the new owner values the property much more than the building that was on it. I’ve talked to a few folks and the general consensus is that it will be a car wash. I don’t know what kind of car wash – full-service, drive-thru or hose-your-own, but apparently, a car wash it shall be. More news when I get it.
Lastly for this epic of unconfirmed reports is construction on a parcel at the southeast of Alcoa Road overpass. That would be right between Bank of the Ozarks and CenterPoint Church – facing the Interstate. Any guesses? How about a Verizon Store – yes, right across the street from the AT&T store in Alcoa Exchange.
