Saline County does love to dine out. We knew cars were going to line up order food from the newest incarnate of Taste of D-Light. We knew the location on Highway 5 North just west of Springhill Road would mean stagnant traffic spilling out onto the road. This was a beloved Chinese restaurant that went out of business due to retirement in one location, only to pop up as a drive-thru-only option after a few years. It re-opened at the end of December, and now everyone wants a “taste.”
This has gone on for about two weeks now and the Bryant Police Department has released a statement about the situation. It says they and the City Administration are working with the restaurant owners to find a way to resolve it. We’ll keep you updated on whether that happens.
Via social media, Bryant Police Department made the following announcement:
“Regarding the traffic issue at the new Taste of D-Light on Hwy 5. The Bryant Police Department is aware of the traffic problems that have developed with the recent opening of the Taste of Delight Restaurant. I assure this issue is being addressed by the City, Code Enforcement and Police Department as we have been in contact with the owner of the business and working to resolve this issue. We ask everyone to please stay safe while we work this out. Hopefully traffic will be moving smoothly once again as quickly as possible.”
