Two great local charities are splitting a $35,000 check. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Saline County and Saline County Safe Haven will benefit from the 8th Annual Travis Wood 4-Ball Invitational Hurricane Country Club in Bryant, Arkansas, June 22-25, 2023.
According to organizers, this is an all-time high amount raised from the tournament. Safe Haven will receive $20,000 and the Boys & Girls Club will receive $15,000. Emmy Rogers, Resource Development Director at the Boys & Girls Club showed her gratitude in a statement.
“We are so proud to share the funds raised with Safe Haven, an organization that does amazing and tireless work for those who need it most,” said Rogers. “We just wanted to say thank you for getting the opportunity to be a part of this fundraiser, it was a great time making friends and raising funds. Great job to the leaders of the T. Wood tournament, on behalf of the Club and the kids we serve – THANK YOU!”
