The Alexander Arkansas Police Department found a very large stray lizard on Monday, June 19, 2023. This Tegu was found on Kent Circle as shown on the map below.
According to www.evergladescisma.org the Argentine black and white tegu (Salvator merianae) is a large lizard that grows up to 4 feet long. It is black and white with banding along its tail.
Please share to find the owner. The owner should contact dispatch at 501-303-5647 to get in touch with Alexander Police Department. Bryant Animal Control & Adoption Center will be holding the Tegu in hopes of an owner coming forward. Proof of ownership will be required for pickup.
