Saline River – Trotlines baited up with goldfish & black salty’s have been producing some great catfish also bass. Bream have been great off of crickets and red worms. Crappie good off of #6 crappie minnows and pink crappie minnows. Bass good on brooder minnows and black salty’s. Also on plastic worms and 4″ lizards.
Sunset Lake – Catfish are still doing great off of fresh chicken livers at this lake. Also as well on bait shrimp, wild cat blood bait , and cut skipjack. Crickets and worms seem to be bringing in the bream. And crappie have been slow but deep off of #6 crappie minnows. Bass have been hitting on light colored spinner baits, brooder minnows and #12 bass minnows.
Lake Norrell – Bream been great off of crickets drop shooting them. Bass been good off of spinner baits, brooder minnows and assorted plastics. Crappie fair off of #6 crappie minnows and pink crappie minnows. Catfish have been caught off of trotlines, from goldfish, black salty’s to cut baits, skipjack also shad.
Bishop Park Ponds – Some large bass have been caught on brooders, spinner & buzz baits. Also on big plastic worms. Crappie been slow and small off of pink crappie minnows. Catfish still good here as well off of fresh chicken livers, night crawlers and brooder minnows. Bream doing good off of crickets & red worms.
Lake Winona – Catfish especially flathead have been doing very well off of dead bream which is kind of strange since they usually just go off of live bait. A couple of young men have been doing just that catching some very nice ones too. Other catfish have been being caught off of fresh chicken livers, bait shrimp and brooder minnows. Bream excellent on crickets. Crappie fair off of #6 crappie minnows as well off of #12 bass minnows.
