Saline River – Trotlines been good baited up with goldfish & black salty’s catching catfish & bass. Some have been catching catfish off of rod n reels with fresh chicken livers, and also the black salty’s. Bream have been great off of crickets. A few crappie are being caught off of Kalin’s Tennessee shad colored jigs and crappie minnows fishing some of the deeper holes.
Sunset Lake – Catfish are still doing good, especially on fresh chicken livers. They have also been catching them on stink baits and night crawlers as well. Bream been doing great on crickets and red worms. Crappie slow on crappie minnows. Bass have been hitting on beetle spins, crankbaits and trick worms rigged wacky style.
Lake Norrell – Crappie been slow fishing deep with crappie minnows and bobby garland jigs. Catfish have been good on frozen cut baits – skipjack & shad. Also on fresh chicken livers and black salty’s. Big redear being caught off of crickets. Bass being caught off of chatterbaits, plastics and spinnerbaits.
Bishop Park Ponds – The back one was stocked with catfish and they have been catching them with fresh chicken livers. Crappie been slow, a few off of crappie minnows and balck and chartreuse colored Bobby Garland jigs. Bass been hitting minnows and black salty’s. Bream have been pretty good off of crickets, redworms and brown Rockhoppers.
Lake Winona – Crappie good on crappie minnows. Bass being caught off of black salty’s, spinner baits and crankbaits. Catfish hitting bait shrimp, night crawlers and fresh chicken livers. Bream doing excellent on crickets.
