Saline River – Was doing great until the rain came. It was at 9.42 ft , as of 2:30pm Sunday. But while raining I had a customer report to me of being down at the spillway catching as he said a fish on each one of his brooders that he had got from me. Only thing he didn’t catch any walleye, just Kentucky and small mouth bass. But I have had some others going on the river catching walleye using brooder minnows. A few crappie been caught off of #6 crappie minnows and pink crappie minnows. Catfish have been fair on goldfish, bream and night crawlers.
Sunset Lake – A few crappie still being caught off of #6 crappie minnows. Bass have been going after plastic worms pretty good. Also on brooder minnows. On some of those sunny days the bream were being caught on crickets and small jigs. Catfish have been fair on night crawlers, chicken livers and stink baits, secret 7 has been pretty good lately.
Lake Norrell – Some big crappie have been reported by a few customers catching them pretty deep using #6 crappie minnows and Kalin’s 2″ grubs in Tenneessee shad color. Catfish fair on chicken livers, night crawlers and black salty’s. Few bream on crickets. Bass been good on brooders and spinner baits.
Bishop Park Ponds – Crappie good on #6 crappie minnows and Beaver Bottom baits. Bass been hitting brooders and bass minnows. Bream on crickets and red worms. Catfish been hitting stink bait and night crawlers.
Lake Winona – Crappie been good not only on #6 crappie minnows but also on bass minnows. Catfish being caught on night crawlers and bait shrimp. Bass been going after crank baits as well as bass minnows. No report on bream, but not meaning they haven’t caught any.
