Ben Ellis son Asher caught this nice crappie last weekend at Peckerwood Lake using a #6 crappie minnow.
Saline River – With the water levels being high, with a little bit over 5 Sunday, and higher days even week before. It hasn’t been the greatest for fishing. Except on out on the river a few walleye or smallmouth here off of brooder minnows. And had a report of some crappie being caught off of a slough off of the river using #6 crappie minnows.
Sunset Lake – One of my customers went there and in an evening he caught 12 crappie. He was using #6 crappie minnows, he said they were a little bigger than hand size. Not only good eating size, but his kids had a blast. Making memories sometimes is one of the best thing out of taking a kid fishing. Catfish been doing fair on night crawlers and #12 bass minnows. Bream fair on crickets. Bass been hitting minnows, small jigs and spinner baits.
Neil Powell caught this crappie out of his pond using #6 crappie minnows.
Lake Norrell – Catfish being caught off of gold fish and night crawlers as well as bait shrimp. Crappie deep off of #6 crappie minnows and pink crappie minnows. Bass off of spinner baits and big minnows, Bream have been hitting crickets fishing deep.
Bishop Park Ponds – Crappie have been biting on #6 crappie minnows and pink crappie minnows. Bream fair on crickets and red worms. While bass as well as catfish have been biting bigger minnows.

Lake Winona – Haven’t had any reports here. Which I have had a few guys come through going there but no word back yet.
Hot Spots – Small ponds & lakes have been doing good on minnows. For the bass and the crappie have been biting them pretty good.
