Saline River – The river has been high and muddy and we haven’t had any reports this week.
Sunset Lake – Crappie fishing has been fair early in the mornings with #6 crappie minows, Bobby Garland 2″ swimming minnow in monkey milk, Kalin’s 2″ grub in crystal. Bass fishing has been good with #12 bass minnows, finesse pumkin colored worms & small spinner baits. Catfish have been biting minnows, night crawlers and bait shrimp. Bream are starting to bite a little better on crickets and worms.

Lake Norrell – Bass fishing has been fair early and late in the day with live minnows, carolina rigged plastics. Catfish have been biting minnows, black salty’s and night crawlers. Crappie been biting #6 crappie minnows, Kalin’s bleeding Tenneessee shad grubs. Bream fishing has been slow but should pick up soon crickets and red worms will catch them when they start to really bite.
Bishop Park Ponds – Catfish have been biting minnows, night crawlers and bait shrimp. Crappie fishing has been fair with #6 crappie minnows and pink minnows. Bass are biting minnows and small plastics. Bream are biting crickets and red worms.

Lake Winona – Crappie fishing has been good with #6 & # 4 crappie minnows, as well as Bobby Garland swim’r threadfin shad & live minnow colors. Bass have been biting minnows, carolina rigged plastics and beetle spins. Catfish are biting minnows, goldfish, night crawlers and stink bait. Bream fishing has been fair with red worms and night crawlers.
Hot Spots – Stripers have done good on brooder minnows over at Lake Ouachita for a couple of my customers, one even caught a crappie off of the brooder minnow while fishing for them. Peckerwood Lake have been seeing a lot of my #6 crappie minnows , with one of my customers son caught a very nice 16.75″ crappie weighing 2.6 lbs. Lake Hamilton had a guy get some crickets to go back over there he got on a bed of big bluegill!
