Maintaining safe and sanitary facilities within Arkansas State Parks has always been a top priority, but with the outbreak of COVID-19 in Arkansas, thorough cleaning is paramount. ASP staff are directed to follow CDC-approved cleaning procedures. The protocol includes the following:
- Increased frequency for cleaning and disinfection of facilities including daily sanitation of restrooms, kitchens, and other high traffic areas.
- Access to handwashing facilities and hand sanitizers for employees and the public.
- Engage in rigorous cleaning of public overnight facilities in accordance with CDC guidelines.
