The Saline Symphony Orchestra is having a special summer session. The season is a little shorter than usual, and the music reflects that.
The third rehearsal will be May 2nd, 3-5 p.m., at the Bryant High School Fine Arts Center. Arrive early to allow for warming up and tuning. To meet school requirements, masks are required at this time.
The group welcomes musicians who are returning to their love of music, regardless of age, as well as those who are music educators. Members represent a wide range of experience. High school and college musicians are welcome to join the orchestra as well.
While all orchestral instrumentalists are welcome, current particular needs are:
- low brass,
- high brass,
- woodwinds.
The orchestra does not supply instruments.
The SSO normally charges an annual fee of $40 per musician, but it will be free of charge for this special semester.
If you are a musician interested in joining the Orchestra and have at least an intermediate ability, please contact us at [email protected] and include basic information about you, including the instrument(s) you play. If you plan on attending the rehearsal, email ahead so they will have music for you.
