Due to concerns over the resurgence of Covid-19 cases, Spook City planners (Downtown Benton Business Partnership) have made the decision not to hold this year’s event, normally held toward the end of October.
In a statement on social media, organizers say, “In good conscious we simply can’t have a huge Spook City and put the health of so many children and their parents at risk. The happiness and safety of children has always been our number one priority on Spook City night. So until the world is a healthier place for crowds, we appreciate everyone’s continued support for our decision.”
Spook City is an annual event that normally includes dozens of booths to hand out candy to kids dressed in costumes, asking with other festivities.
