UPDATE 10/19/2021
- I’m updating at the top of this article so people know that it’s from a previous year. NOT 2021. There will be no Spook City carnival in 2021. Read the article about it here: Spook City organizers cancel
The annual Spook City event is planned for Saturday, October 19th, from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. in historic downtown Benton. This huge carnival is a safe and fun family event put on by the Downtown Benton Business Owners Association. There will be trick-or-treating, booths, rides, inflatables and more. Bring your kids in costume for all the fun. Follow the Facebook page for updates: www.facebook.com/bentonspookcity.
Entrance is free, wristbands for rides will be $5.00 for ages 12 and under to ride everything once. There are also tickets available for adults to go on some rides. Tickets to the climbing wall are also $5.00, separate from the wristbands.
If it rains, Spook City will be rescheduled for Monday, October 21st. This will be a smoke-free and vape-free event inside the barriers.
Businesses and organizations are encouraged to host a booth. Get a form at Paradise Pets, The Oil Shop or the Benton Area Chamber of Commerce or send an inbox message on the Spook City Facebook page.
