Readers were asking, so I looked into what is going on with a particular liquor store in Saline County. I found out some things, but others are still a mystery. Smuggler’s Bay purchased the property at 3200 N. Reynolds Road from Taste of D-Light and opened in the middle of 2016. They were doing good business since then but recently, signs went up that the store would be closing. According to their Facebook post below, they almost decided against closing. But they ended up doing so anyway, on April 12, 2018. A source says they are transferring their wide selection to their sister store, Top 10 Wine & Spirits on Military Road in Benton.
As for the building left behind in Bryant, the sign on the door suggests something new is coming. It reads:
We are very sorry! This store is closed. We are sorry to inform all of our customers and vendors that this store will be closing Thursday 4/12/2018. Watch for a new project coming soon!
A phone call to the sister store revealed little about it, except to confirm that they are closed for good as Smuggler’s Bay. Understandably, the business is not able to make a comment at this time, but MySaline will watch and update when there’s more info.
