The Saline County Sheriff’s Office arrested Alexander resident Christopher Simpson, age 34, early Wednesday for a charge of Sexual Indecency with a Child, a felony charge. Simpson posted bail on a $100,000.00 bond amount and was released a few hours later. Sheriff’s records indicate that Simpson was booked on April 17, 2019 at 7:12 a.m and was released on the same day at 1:31 p.m.
The following is the arrest report. Information has been redacted since it involves a juvenile and is an ongoing case, still under investigation. The introductory narrative on the report states that on February 26, 2019 at approximately 10:39 a.m., a Deputy was dispatched a name and number in reference to a sex crime.
Any suspect is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
