The Sheridan School District will provide Grab-and-Go meals March 16-20, for children up to age 18 at the front entrances of Sheridan Elementary School and East End Middle School.
Meals can be picked up from 10:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Children do not have to attend Sheridan Schools to participate but must be present to receive the meal.
In addition, volunteers from both the Sheridan and East End areas will provide the following services to ensure children in our area do not go hungry while our schools are closed:
Sheridan
Volunteers from First Assembly of God Church in Sheridan will deliver meals that weren’t picked up from Sheridan Elementary School to the Grant County areas where deliveries were made in the summer feeding program. These meals will be delivered March 16-20.
More community volunteers will deliver a box of food to the families who participated in the summer feeding program. That will be on Tuesday, March 17 & on Tuesday, March 24, beginning at 11 a.m. on both days.
The food is provided by the Arkansas Foodbank and will contain canned vegetables and fruit, bottled water, proteins such as rice, mac and cheese, or peanut butter, and a breakfast item such as cereal, pop tarts, or oatmeal.
Boxes can also be picked up at Leola Missionary Baptist Church, Poyen High School, and the parking lot at the Grapevine Church of God in Christ.
Families who did not participate in the summer feeding program and need food for their children, can call Kathy’s Closet between 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at (870) 942-7611 and make arrangements to pick up a box there.
East End
The Well in East End will be delivering meals to families Mar 16-20 & Mar 23-27.
The Well will also provide backpacks filled with food to children on Friday, March 20 & Friday, March 27.
