Why would the Mayor of Shannon Hills… an official who is required to live in Shannon Hills city limits… and the city limits Shannon Hills being fully inside Saline County… why would he be on the Citizens Advisory Committee for Pulaski County Special School District (PCSSD)? And then he’s going to run for a School Board position in PCSSD too? It sounds crazy, but part of Shannon Hills students go to Bryant Schools and the other part is in the PCSSD. Arkansas State Education Commissioner Johnny Key appointed Kemp to the Committee. Kemp decided to run for School Board in PCSSD Zone 1 to further his cause, but of course he will be engaging in all the duties that position entails. He is unopposed in the race. Kemp has been on a crusade for some time to allow ALL Shannon Hills students to go to the same school district – Bryant Schools.
