A Shannon Hills Police Officer faces several charges after getting arrested in Little Rock at approximately 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2022.
Jose Padilla, age 30, refused to submit to a chemical test but was later cited with DWI, theft of a motor vehicle and assault.
Witnesses stated they saw Padilla steal a vehicle and nearly hit a pedestrian while attempting a getaway. It just happened there was a Little Rock officer nearby who saw the disturbance, arrested Padilla and took him to the Pulaski County Detention Center.
Padilla submitted his resignation with the Shannon Hills Police Department on Monday.
