Breaking or Entering, Theft of Property// Windrush Point//
A couple reported that sometime during the night, unknown suspect(s) busted a window out of each of their vehicles. The male victim reported a Glock 21 gen 4, .45 Caliber pistol was missing. The female reported her purse that contained her debit card, credit card, driver license, and social security card missing. CID was contacted and took over the investigation. The firearm was entered into ACIC.
Note from SCSO: This crime would not have occurred if they just removed their valuables from the vehicles.
Theft of Property (multiple counts)// Blazing Trail//
A Mabelvale resident reported that sometime in the last few days, unknown suspect(s) removed semi-truck parts/miscellaneous items in cab and located under the hood of an unknown older model semi-truck (no VIN or LP located).
Also, two single axle trailers were reported stolen and multiple heavy duty construction scaffoldings were taken from inside of a large enclosed boxcar on the vacant property. The total estimated value of all items is $65,000.00.
Theft of Property// E. Draw//
An 84-year-old man reported his ‘99 Dodge Ram 1500 stolen by his mechanic, Billy Stevenson, age 54. The truck was recovered on Gravel Ridge Rd, however, Stevenson had fled the scene. A warrant will be sought for Stevenson.
