Counterfeit $20 bills are being passed around Saline County, according to a statement Thursday from the Saline County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO).
The bills actually say “Replica” in small print on the left and right front side the bill, and “This is a replica” at the bottom middle. It also says “This note is not legal, it is to be used for motion pictures.”
The SCSO stated that the suspects appear to be high school age males, along with an adult.
If you receive any twenties or hundreds, examine the Sheriff’s Office advises you to make sure the denomination strip is there. Also look for any other printings like the ones described, or any foreign writing on the bill.
If you have any information about the passing of this phony money call the Saline County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division at 501.303.5744 or use the Report A Crime webpage at www.scsosheriff.org/report-a-crime.
