A road rage incident in the East End community on Saturday left one dead with two in custody.

On April 20, 2024, around 10:00 p.m., dispatch received a 911 call about a shooting on Arch Street Pike, according to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies made contact with the caller and an unresponsive male victim in his passenger seat. The male, age 19, was treated on scene, and MEMS transported him to UAMS. The victim succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.
The driver stated that he previously filed a report on the same vehicle for harassment. Videos and pictures of the vehicle led deputies to uncover the identity of the male suspect, Jayeson Ashley, age 20.
After an exhaustive search, deputies were able to locate Ashley and take him into custody. His sister, Ceara Force, age 24, was also taken into custody.
Mr. Ashley is charged with Aggravated Assault, Battery 1st, and 2nd Degree Murder and is being held at the Saline County Detention Center. Ms. Force is charged with Hindering Apprehension Or Prosecution, a Felony; and Obstructing Governmental Operations, a Misdemeanor.
