The varsity girls and boys basketball teams from Bryant and Benton faced off Tuesday night in the brand new Hornet Arena at Bryant High School. The Benton Panthers put up a respectable effort but both Bryant teams prevailed. Between games, Bryant Mayor Allen Scott presented a special proclamation to the Bryant Hornets football team and coaching staff for winning the State Championship for two consecutive years. The Saline County Shootout will be the first basketball games to take place in the new Hornet Arena. Have are scheduled for Tuesday, January 7th beginning at 6 p.m.
The Lady Hornets will play first against Benton’s Lady Panthers, followed by a match up between varsity boys teams, the Hornets and Panthers.
