Here’s what the construction on Fair Park Boulevard looked like (image above) when we drove through going west toward Interstate 630 on Sunday, August 28th, 2016. The entrance to Zoo Drive is blocked, so that’s kind of a big deal for parking during the 2016 Salt Bowl game between Benton and Bryant Schools on Friday. There’s video below of what it looks like to drive through there with light traffic. ON game day, it should be fierce.
However… the Salt Bowl planners and War Memorial Stadium have put their heads together and put out notice for the fans that there are alternate routes you can take. See their suggestions and map image at the end.

Due to construction on Fair Park Blvd., travel routes to War Memorial Stadium will be affected. The following are suggestions by the Salt Bowl Committee concerning routes to the stadium.
- You can use University Ave. to Markham St. or 12 St.
- You can also access the stadium by taking the Pine St. exit (3B) from I-630.
- If you choose the Fair Park exit (4), expect a delay.
The map below suggests taking the streets in green. Avoid the street in red. Parking areas are in gray.
