For years, the Salt Bowl has been more than just a game—it’s a tradition that unites the Benton and Bryant communities and schools in a night of excitement and hometown pride. Both school districts deeply appreciate the years of support from War Memorial Stadium and the experience provided to the student athletes.
After listening to families and considering the future of this event, the Salt Bowl is making a big move—returning home to Saline County!
Hosting the game in Saline County allows the communities to celebrate right where it all began. The experience will be smaller in scale but full of the traditional rivalry between the two schools. As the home team for the 2025 game, Benton will host the event at their athletic facility on Friday, August 29th.
Superintendents Dr. Kim Anderson of Benton Public Schools and Dr. Karen Walters of Bryant Public Schools emphasize the significance of the Salt Bowl as a cherished tradition that fosters lasting memories for students, families, and fans. Moving the game back to Saline County allows the community to celebrate the rivalry, preserving the history and spirit of the Salt Bowl.
Many individuals from Bryant, Benton, and War Memorial have dedicated their time and effort to the Salt Bowl over the years.
