During open hours, Makerspace functions as an open workspace stocked with numerous tools and materials for free creative time. In other words, people can come in with only their imagination, create to their heart’s content, and leave with a completed project.

Anime Club

Each month we will watch an episode of a different anime and discuss our favorite parts! Is your favorite part of anime the art styles? Bring your favorite pencil and draw while we watch. Do you love reading the mangas that the anime is based on? We will have those out for you to read or check out. If you just want to watch the anime and talk while you eat some Pocky, you can do that too!

Need something to do this summer? We’re bringing the challenge to you! We’re having a storytime for kids and signups for everyone. Earn free prizes while doing something entertaining…reading! Storytime at 10:30 AM for ages 5 and up. Summer Reading Challenge signups from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Tai Chi for Beginners

Jo Tabor, a Certified Personal Trainer and fitness coach, will teach participants the basics of Tai Chi. This is a program geared towards beginning practitioners, but all skill levels are welcome. Dress comfortably for movement. Registration encouraged but not required. If you are waitlisted, please feel free to show up anyway!
Tech Connect – Cybersecurity Basics – Hot Springs Village

How do we know when we are being safe on the internet? Or when there’s a confusing email asking you to verify your account? Join us, to go over cybersecurity do’s and don’ts.
In this workshop, attendees will learn how to be safe online with accounts/passwords, and an overview of frauds/scams. This course is in an open-question setting and is recommended for anyone. Genealogy Escape Room – Explore with us and learn about your roots!

Genealogy can be tricky. But whether you’re tracking down burial sites, land grant records, or census data, there are tricks that can make your search easier and more successful.
Join Barb Pinkney and Kirk Larson of the Village Genealogical Society as they guide you through an ‘Escape Room’ style activity to uncover some family secrets! Along the way, you will learn best practices for using sites like Ancestry.com, FamilySearch, and Fold3. You’ll also learn tips and tricks for uncovering land grant records, census information, and marriage records. This genealogy workshop can help the amateur sleuth and the more advanced family researcher. Registration is required and seats are limited.
Saturday Storytime
