The Saline County Fair is coming Sept 5-9; Get info on the Pageant, Parade, Exhibits, Rodeo & Schedule of Events

The 2023 Saline County Fair is set for Tuesday, September 5th through Saturday, September 9th. It’s all the midway rides, food trucks, carnival games, plus competitive exhibits, a pageant, bull riding and rodeo. Admission to the Saline County Fair is free. Armband days will be Tuesday and Thursday, 6:00-10:00 p.m. and Saturday 1:00-5:00 p.m. The cost will be $25.

PARADE

This annual event kicks off with the Fair Parade in Downtown Benton at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 5th. See the parade route in the map below. The float contest prizes will be as follows:

  • 1st Place – $200 and Trophy
  • 2nd Place – $125
  • 3rd Place – $75

PAGEANT

There are 14 pageant divisions this year, with the main event category and 6 side categories. The competition will be held on Saturday, September 2nd. See all of the rules, beginning on Fair Book page 38-40 of the embedded pdf below.

EXHIBIT ENTRIES

Online entries will be accepted August 1-31, 2023. You can contact the extension office to pick up your tags to be attached to your exhibits by emailing salinecofair@hotmail.com. 

The fairgrounds will be open to receive cultural arts exhibits August 31st from 1:00-7:00 p.m. On September 5 cultural arts and horticulture exhibits will be received from 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Horticultural exhibits and baked goods will be received on Sept. 6 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. For questions, call the Extension Office at (501) 303-5672.
