MySaline told you in December that David’s Burgers is coming to Bryant. Not only that, but it will be in a big complex with other new businesses. The location will be at the intersection of Interstate 30 and Reynolds Road (Exit 123) on the northwest corner, between Waffle House and Service King. Well, construction equipment is now moving dirt and lots of workers are pointing to plans and doing whatever it is construction workers do. Here’s that previous blog link for more info, but read on before you click it – there’s more news relevant to it.
I got pictures Monday morning which will reveal another business coming to that location. HealthCARE Express plans to build there and be open in May 2017. To enlarge, click any of the below images for the construction site of David’s Burgers and HealthCARE Express.
I also took a picture today of yet another new business in the construction process in Bryant. This one is located on Ethel Drive, near the Reynolds Road branch of First Security Bank. We mentioned a tire shop coming in that December blog linked above. Now we know from the big sign on the front that it’s called Hurricane Creek Tire. Click the image to enlarge it.
Let’s talk for a minute about this successful business that in the next couple of months will move from Bryant to Benton. Empire Cheerleading is currently on W. Commerce Street next to 10 Fitness. The new location will be at Alcoa Road and Benton Parkway, where Ranch & Rider was. Brooke Plack, owner of Empire, is excited to get into a larger training facility. Here’s Brooke below, signing to purchase the building, and then some pics of construction as of a couple of weeks ago. Small business is one of the best things for our local economy. Shop local!
Side note: Congratulations to Empire Cheerleading for placing 6th in the Junior Rec & Club category of the 2017 UCA High School National Championship!
Lastly, as a drive-by follow-up on the widening of Highway 5 North (from Reynolds Road to Alcoa Road), crews are working almost daily on moving the utilities back. If you drive along and see where there are new power poles, you’ll get a good idea of where the need road will be. This picture was taken from Pine Meadow Drive, looking north across Highway 5 North. The trucks in the middle of the picture are at Friends in Christ Lutheran Church. Click the image to enlarge it.
