Residents and passersby in the Salem community have been waiting several months since hearing that there would be a new restaurant coming to a vacant spot.
The tiny space at 1204 Salem Road has held pizza restaurants before, but the owners of the one coming have marinara in their blood. And alfredo and a couple of other sauces maybe.
You’ll recognize the name Larry’s Pizza, and you’ve likely been to one of their several family restaurants. You’ll likely also recognize Greg White, son of Larry, who will be running the new Salem location. He’s been a constant at the Bryant restaurant for years. You’ll get the same pizza at this restaurant, but the rest will be a little different.
Other Larry’s restaurants have a dining area and special buffet days. But as I said, the space in Salem is tiny and there’s no room for customers to stay long. Therefore, the service will be carryout only, or you can use DoorDash to get it delivered.
Today is the first day open to the public, so let’s try not to overwhelm them, but here’s your notice that they are ready for you. They’ll be open open Monday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and closed on Sunday. See the menu and more info below.

The Salem community will soon have the option to grab a pizza from a favorite restaurant in Saline County. You’ve seen a pizza restaurant before in this spot at 1204 Salem Road in Benton – a Pizza Pro franchise, then Pizza for Life, and more recently, My Little Pizzeria.
It’s difficult to make a restaurant work in regular times and worse in a pandemic. But there are certain people who have already built their brand as friendly, tasty, community oriented, reputable and dependable. Larry’s Pizza is just that.
I was recently at their Bryant location to present the award for MySaline’s 2021 Saline County Favorites – Larry’s Pizza was voted the winner in that category. Larry’s son Greg White (below), who manages the Bryant store, was so tickled, he did a little dance.
I regret not getting the dance on video. However, he made up for it with the news that sometime in the Fall of 2021, they will open a new location in that currently vacant spot.
That’s all the news we have for now, but we’ll update as opening day comes closer.
