Recycle Saline, the Saline County Regional Solid Waste Management District (SCRSWMD) introduces Hunter Schelle, their new Environmental Enforcement Officer. He received his Environmental Enforcement Certification on March 31, 2020.
He will be responsible for code enforcement in several areas – open burning of household trash, disposing of trash in an illegal manner, investigating illegal dump sites, littering, and working with trash haulers who operate in Saline County.
Schelle grew up in Saline County and graduated from Bryant Schools. He earned a Bachelor of Criminal Justice from the UA Little Rock. He has previously worked in law enforcement for the Saline County Sheriff’s Office and also at the Saline County Courthouse.
“Officer Schelle has been involved in enforcement in different capacities and is a great fit for environmental enforcement,” stated Tiffany Dunn, Executive Director. “He has a passion to make his community a better place, and we are exited to welcome him to the Recycle Saline Team.”

Recycle Saline is a Solid Waste District – one of 19 regional Districts established by the Arkansas Legislature. Its jurisdiction is in Saline County. Recycle Saline’s mission is to maintain a financially sound solid waste management system that incorporates the essential elements of recycling, collection disposal, waste reduction, education and special material provisions to handle solid waste in an environmentally sound manner.
