The Friends of the Saline pull a large amount of dumped junk out of the Saline River in Benton on a regular basis. If you care about helping them to clean up, they are hosting a time to do so, and the public is invited.
The group is meeting at Lyle Park on Saturday, November 30th at 10 a.m. Get to Lyle Park from Lyle Drive off of Highway 5 in Benton. See the map link here: https://goo.gl/maps/MigCei8KBLW6mV9J6.
More details from Michael Sacomani:
Countdown! Four more days to the 8th Annual Black Friday Cleanup, happening at Lyle Park on the Saline River in Benton! Ferry service or loaned boats will be available to get to the work site for those that don’t want to load a boat. Some more details are on the Events created on the ACC BOATR and Saline River Canoe pages, but all you really need to know is be there at 10AM, and maybe bring a rain jacket since the forecast says 50% chance of showers. Stay after 3PM if you have time to eat a few hot dogs. Gloves and muck boots are never a bad idea, but any type of river shoe should work fine.
