The word is that the big pretty tree in front of Ringgold Elementary in Benton was hit by lightning a while back and has died as a result. Tuesday morning, July 5th, 2016, workers began removing the tree from the property. We’re sad to see it go. Hopefully, there are plans for more shade trees in the near future.
