In a recent article about the 2020 General Election, I used a photo of the Voting Center in downtown Benton. One reader asked where the building is located. I had to wonder if that person was new to town, but then it occurred to me that I drive by there every day and most of the county does not. I say this because it recently got a facelift.
The building is located at the southeast corner of Main & Conway Streets in downtown Benton, across from the courthouse. If it looks unfamiliar, it might be because at the beginning of 2020, it was repainted and a new awning and sign lettering were installed. The patriotic bunting seen in the photo above has been added temporarily for election season.
