If you’re wondering what to do with an old laptop, Recycle Saline has a solution for you. Partnering with a non-profit organization called Computers 4 Kids+ (C4K+), they collect laptop computer donations to be recycled.
WHERE DOES IT GO?
Get a tax deduction and benefit the community. The laptops will be redistributed within our surrounding area. Most of the recipients of the refurbished computers are individuals active in some type of education program.
WHAT ABOUT THE DATA?
C4K+ will wipe any files or data, then refurbish the computer for use by another individual. The latest version of Windows or Linux will be installed at a low cost to the new user. C4K+ has been a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher for over 13 years.
IS IT TAX DEDUCTIBLE?
Anyone donating a laptop can get a receipt for tax purposes. You can also get an official Wipe Certificate.
WHAT ABOUT OTHER ELECTRONICS?
You can also drop off various other types of electronics at Recycle Saline. They will no longer have drop off events at Bishop Park or at the Habitat for Humanity Re-Store.
