Join the Ralph Bunche Community and the Saline County 4H Saturday, November 5th at 9:30 am for the Quilt of Valor Presentation to Alderman Charles Cunningham and Pastor Karl Barnes.
The ceremony begins at 9:30 am at Woodlawn Cemetery, where 4H-ers will place flags on the graves of veterans. At 10 am, the event will move to the community center at 1600 Dixie Street, where the two recipients will be presented the hand-crafted quilts. 4H participants worked over the summer & fall under the direction of Saline County Family & Consumer Science Agent Kris Boulton to complete the quilts.
All veterans will be honored at this event – please spread the word and invite them to attend. Refreshments will also be served.
