This year, for the first time, it will be at the newly remodeled Ralph Bunche Community Center at 1600 Dixie St Benton AR, 72015. This event was held at Ralph Bunche Community Park in previous years, but the community center allows a safe and enjoyable environment for children and families, especially during times of extreme heat.
The Committee is currently reaching out to potential donors, sponsors, and volunteers to help make this year’s picnic a memorable success. Community support furthers the mission of providing backpacks, supplies, access to educational and community resources, along with this fun-filled day for families.
The generosity of previous sponsors and volunteers has been instrumental in the success of past picnics. Previously, community partners have been Benton Mayor Tom Farmer, individual neighbors and friends, volunteers, Benton School District, local churches, hospitals, Saline Health Systems, non-profit organizations, civic groups, local banks, Regions, Relyance, First Security and businesses like Everett GMC, Walmart, Summerwood Partners LLC, Target, Home Depot, and Roberson & Associates – just to name a few.
Anytime individuals and organizations contribute, it means the committee can offer backpacks, school supplies, and more. This includes a wide range of activities and amenities, including bounce houses, water slides, face painting, live entertainment, games, free clothes, door prizes, haircuts, vendor booths and delicious food for all attendees.
RBCAC is a non-profit organization and all charitable contributions are tax deductible. For any additional information, please contact Shannon Winston RBCAC President, at 501-326-2482.
