Saline County Assessor Bob Ramsey released a statement Thursday that he will run again for the office in the 2022 election. The announcement follows:
Bob Ramsey announced that he is seeking re-election for Saline County Assessor, an office he has held for the previous 3 terms.
Bob is a lifetime resident of Saline County and business owner for several years. He attended Benton schools graduating in 1969 and retired from Benton Fire Department as Captain in 2000. He also holds an Arkansas Auctioneers license and served a 6 year term in the AR National Guard, is a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church, and a Mason.
Bob is married to Debra Callahan Ramsey and has two grown daughters, Jennifer Ramsey and Jayme Ramsey Barker, husband Zach Barker. Three granddaughters, Adison Reese, IsaBella Barker & Lexi Barker.
His parents are Billye Jean Ramsey and the late George Ramsey, former Saline County Clerk. Brothers, Richard & Donna Ramsey & Stanley Ramsey. Sisters, Janice Ramsey Rogers and Vickie Ramsey Collins and in-laws Novalene and the late Charles Callahan.
During his term as assessor, Bob has implemented a new and readily accessible GIS/mapping site that is available free of charge to taxpayers. This site has been utilized by all municipalities in the county for maintenance of utilities, roads, fire hydrants and many other vital aspects of both city and county organizations. In addition, other businesses including real estate companies, title companies and the general public benefit greatly from this site. It has also been an invaluable tool for the assessor’s office to maintain the vast amount of growth that Saline County has been experiencing over the last several years.
In addition, online assessing has been expanded to include business property making it more convenient to complete the yearly requirements.
Bob would like to continue his work for the taxpayers of Saline County and would very much appreciate your vote in the 2022 election.
