Learn how to sew a quilt top one block at a time. The Saline County Library is hosting a class on Thursday, January 16 at 6 p.m. at the Benton branch at 1800 Smithers in the Makerspace.
Each month the class will feature a block with increasing levels of difficulty. By the end of the year, you will have enough blocks to make a small throw and enough sewing skills to take your quilting to the next level. The library will provide all supplies. However, if you prefer particular colors or patterns, you can bring your own 100% cotton fabrics. There are 5 sewing machines available. The class will start with the absolute basics of how to use the machine in January. If you choose to bring your own machine, you must understand the basic operation of that machine.
This series is intended for the absolute beginner, but quilters of any skill level may join in on the fun.
