On Sunday, November 11, 2018, Mary Jacobs of the VFW Auxiliary presented World War II Veteran Shelton Cross with a Quilt of Valor®.
Cross, of East End in Saline County, Arkansas, is 96 years of age and served in the Army Air Corp from 1943 – 1948.
Along with a quilt, recipients get documents explaining the organization’s mission, the purpose of the quilt, a poem, and a certificate.
