The County will hold a workshop and two committee meetings on Monday, August 7th. Discussion items will include a grant, board appointments for waterworks and library, possibility of JPs assisting with broadband and other issues, professional development payments, and amending the county budget.
At 5:30 p.m., Metroplan will hold an informational workshop for the Quorum Court. The Public Works & Safety meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. The Finance meeting will be immediately afterward.
The meetings are open to the public and located inside the Saline County Courthouse in Courtroom #3. Doors will open at 5:15 P.M. Patrons may enter the Courthouse via the Main St. and/or Market St. Entrance.

Pat Bisbee called the meeting to order. Motion made by Rick Bellinger, second by Carlton Billingsley to approve the minutes from the Public Works & Safety Committee Meeting held on June 5, 2023. Vote was unanimous, motion carried
Exhibit “A”: Ordinance Adopting Certain Rules and Regulations Concerning External Noise Attenuation of Data Centers and to Prevent Noise Disturbance. Motion to approve made by Keith Keck, second by Ed Albares. Mr. Keck was recognized by the chair and spoke by about the Ordinance and where it originated from. After discussion Mr. Bisbee called for a vote Vote was unanimous, motion carried.
Exhibit “B”: Ordinance Amended Ordinance No. 2004-34, the Litter Control Ordinance Motion to approve made by by Rick Bellinger,’second by Ed Albares. After being recognized by the chair, Mr. Bellinger explained more about the ordinance, there was discussion among the Committee, after which the chair called for a vote. Exhibit “C”: Resolution Expressing Willingness of Saline County to ta Utilize Federal-Aid Funds for Highway 5 & Desoto Boulevard Roundabout. Motion to approve made by Keith Keck, second by J. W Walters. Mr. Keck was recognized by the chair and explained the need for the resolution. Chair called for a vote, which was unanimous, motion carried. Motion to Adjourn made by J. R. Discussion ltem: Ordinance Amending 1978-1. Mr. Curtis stated that they could not discuss his item because it is not in this Committee. It will be discussed at the Quorum Court meeting to be held on July 17, 2023
