Two County Committees met Monday, February 4, 2019 at the Saline County Courthouse. The agenda is below.
Topics on the agenda are (1) the requirement for employees to use direct deposit, (2) fund issuance from sales tax to pay for CTE School, and (3) a request for new vehicles for the Saline County Sheriff’s Office.

On Exhibit 2, the Justices of the Peace were presented with the ordinance that they will follow for the bond and repayment for the Career and Technical Education School to be built just west of the northwest corner of the intersection at Interstate 30 and Exit 114/Highway 229. Shep Russell the County’s bond attorney advised how the sales tax and bond would work. County Judge Jeff Arey advised that the CTE School document would be voted on during a special meeting after the next committee meeting, March 4th, 2019. Details are in the documents below.
Finally, the Quorum Court briefly discussed a request from the Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) to get the $200,000 that is in their carryover funds from last year. The SCSO proposes to use it to purchase at least four new vehicles, citing high mileage on current vehicles and the loss of five vehicles in 2018. The Court approved the request.
