UPDATE 12/31/18:
It’s been a few months since we told you Painted Tree would be picking up their roots in Bryant at the end of the year and moving to West Little Rock. Painted Tree now confirms via social media that they will hold the last day of business in Bryant on Friday, January 4th. It also says their first day in the new location at 15400 Chenal Parkway will be Saturday, January 5th, but they are actually having a soft opening already today.
This is likely the last update I’ll make about Painted Tree since they’ve moved outside of Saline County. We hope to see something wonderful come in their place at 24351 Interstate 30.
ORIGINAL 10/07/18:
There’s good news for Little Rock shoppers and bad news for Saline County as a popular upscale flea market is moving out of town. If you’ve been to Painted Tree Marketplace in Bryant, you know they’re next to the Bryant Parkway bridge (formerly Raymar Road bridge) on the south side of Interstate 30. A new exit (124) was built recently that is a more direct feed into their business, so one might think it would be easier for customers to find them. Painted Tree, however, blames the Arkansas Department of Transportation for a sudden lack of business.
In their announcement via social media, Painted Tree stated, “With the new exit at Bryant, the Highway Department closed our driveway through eminent domain, making access to our store much more difficult.”
The statement goes on to say they will be holding sales for a while and plan to close the location at the end of the year. They’re new location will be on Chenal Parkway at Wellington. Painted Tree, you’ll do well in west Little Rock, and while we do have other nice flea markets in the community, Saline County will miss you.
