The City of Benton administration and Street Department, along with representatives from McClelland Consulting Engineers (MCE) held a ribbon cutting recently to commemorate the completion of the Princeton and Montclair drainage improvements.
MCE provided survey, easement services, engineering design, and construction observation for improvements to approximately 2,100 linear feet of a drainage channel. This channel is now lined with Redirock blocks to prevent erosion of the existing structure as well as improving the drainage capacity.
Previously, the channel was overgrown and in poor condition causing possible flooding during heavy rainfall.
Following the ribbon cutting, MCE grilled burgers and dogs on site and provided a buffet lunch to show appreciation and thank the employees of the street department and those that assisted with the success of this project.
