Our staff called two locations of Purple Cow (Little Rock and Hot Springs) along with the local Red Robin restaurant in Benton. They all confirmed. Red Robin will still be there likely until the end of October, according to the local manager. They do not currently have plans to stay in the area, so if you have a gift card, you should either go ahead and use it, or plan on going to another nearby location.
The two purple cow managers said that it would be the first of the year before we would see them move in. They said the restaurant would possibly open in January or February 2025.
A little more about Purple Cow: according to the “About” page on their website, “It all started in 1989 when businessman Ed Moore and Chef Paul Bash opened The Purple Cow Restaurant on Cantrell Road in Little Rock. That original location – modeled after classic diners of the 50s – was a hit, and was soon followed by a second spot. A Hot Springs location was opened in 2010 and in 2014 we opened a location in Conway/Hendrix Village. Our newest ‘calf’ joined the family in 2019 with the opening of North Little Rock.”
And by the way, the Cantrell location of purple cow sustain major damage in the tornado of March 2023, but is about to reopen. Watch for that, and you can go to the website to apply for a job: https://www.purplecowlr.com/.
