The Benton School District presents their 6th Annual Chili Cook-Off, at 5 p.m. Thursday, January 23rd at Benton Event Center. This is a competition between Benton school staff members. There are multiple teams and a large traveling trophy that goes to the school with the winning team. In 2018, the Transportation Department won the cook-off.
All proceeds are donated to Angie Grant, Caldwell, Howard Perrin, Ringgold, BMS, BJH, and BHS Guidance Departments for student services programs. It helps to provide food, shoes, clothing, school supplies, hygiene products and more to the students.
Get tickets at the door for $5 for all you can eat. Also bring quarters to vote for your favorite chili in the People’s Choice competition. Buy votes by putting quarters in the bucket of your favorite chili.
Order of Events:
- 5:00 – Chili Cook-off and Silent Auction
- 7:00 – Silent Auction closes
- 7:00 – Awards presentation
- 7:15 – People’s Choice voting closes and winner announced
- 7:30 Cook-off ends
