On September 21st at Hot Springs Country Club, the Benton Panthers golfers defeated Arkansas High, El Dorado, Hot Springs, Lake Hamilton, Lakeside, Sheridan, and White Hall in a dominant fashion.
The Panthers won by 10 shots shooting 301 total on the day with second place being Lakeside shooting 311 total. The Benton Panthers were led by Freshman Paxton Lane shooting a 67 followed by Sophomore Elias Payne shooting a 73. After that senior Eli Cowden and Sophomore Mason McDaniel both shot 80, while Sophomore Mattox Davis shot an 86.
The following four Panther golfers received all-conference honors: Paxton Lane, Elias Payne, Mason McDaniel, and Eli Cowden. The Panthers look to continue their momentum into the state tournament on October 4th.
