Come to a workshop for “How to do an Oral History.” This event will be held at 10 a.m on Saturday February 23, at the Saline County Library at 1800 Smithers Dr. in Benton. This program is intended for ages 18 and older.
Do you know someone with a story to tell? Come learn from an expert how to preserve this important treasure. This program will be presented by David Elmore, long-time Benton resident.
David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media from UALR, and has 33 years of experience, including 17 years as a Hollywood cinematographer. He participated in over 400 interviews as part of AETN’s “In Their Words” WWII oral history project. Elmore is a life-long Scouter, and currently serves as the local chairman of the National Eagle Scout Association.
