The Bryant Softball Association welcomes Jennie Finch, Olympic gold medalist and internationally recognized softball legend, to speak at the annual Dinner with Champions banquet. It will be held Saturday, October 15th at 6:30 p.m. at The Center at Bishop Park at 6401 Boone Road in Bryant. All softball and Olympic fans are invited to attend.
The banquet will also include remarks from Finch’s teammates Andrea Duran, Toni Mascarenas and Crystal Bustos. The event is held in conjunction with a two-day softball camp led by Finch and her teammates at Boone Park in Bryant. A silent and live auction will also be held at the dinner. More than 200 softball players from seven states have registered to participate in the camp that is also sponsored by the Bryant Softball Association.
Tickets for the banquet, which will be emceed by Arkansas State Representative Julie Mayberry of East End, are available. Tickets are $25 and may be purchased online at www.arkansas-softball.com, from any Bryant High School softball player, by calling 501-765-5250 or at the event.
According to camp organizers, the purpose of the camp is to give young players, coaches and parents the opportunity to learn from Olympians and professional softball players and coaches. The camp will allow girls of all ages to gain respected advice from Olympians, while boosting their performance and attitude on and off the softball field.
