My guess is that you’ll be able to get some good deals at Old Navy in Bryant in January. That’s because that location in the Alcoa Exchange shopping center will be shutting down it’s operations. According to a spokesperson at the store, the last day in business there will be January 26th, 2017. Some of the employees will be able to keep employment be moving to the Old Navy outlet store at Outlets of Little Rock.
BizJournal.com reported in early December that “Gap Inc. is struggling across all three of its brands — budget-friendly Old Navy, the more upscale Banana Republic and mid-market Gap stores.”
Old Navy has been struggling to get its legs and hired a new Chief Marketing Officer in September – a critical point right before the holiday push. Still, Gap Inc., Old Navy’s parent company based in San Francisco, reported that net sales for the four-week period ending November 26, 2016 were $1.53 billion – $40 million less than the same period in 2015.
This location of Old Navy has only been open for business again for less than 10 months since eradicating the smoke and water damage after a fire next door at Shoe Carnival.
